Sophisticated Orangeade From Fentimans

I had another chance to sip on a Fentimans recently and I simply couldn’t pass it up after my recent reminder of how much I enjoy the botanically brewed brand with the rose lemonade.

This one just strikes me as a more sophisticated and pungent orangeade. Growing up I adored orangeade or adding a splash of orange squash to lemonade but as I got older it isn’t something I find myself doing or gravitating towards but this completely changes my perspective.

This drink really hits your tastebuds with different types of orange from the mildly bitter through to the sweet and it leaves a strong pure orange aftertaste as well. In fact it contains eight mandarins and just zesting of Seville orange to ensure that the sweet to bitter ratio isn’t tipped over.

It’s the sort of thing I could imagine working well mixed with vodka as well but they suggest mixing it with Pimms for a fruity punch sort of thing and I can understand how that could work.

I let my other half have a sip of this and much like the rose one he seemed to find it a bit too strong. If you haven’t grown up with punchy flavours or don’t take that road a lot in your adult life then perhaps all of these being so full-bodied flavourful in drink form might send the tastebuds into overdrive. But I think they are absolutely delight and I love it when things claim to taste of something really truly do.
