Eating And Storage Tips
Want to add a little more fancy to this? Use additional cheeses or add something like chilli jam or red pepper relish. Alternatively, turn it into more like a cheese and ham with a bit of ketchup.
Where you are using leftover, already cooked, and now reheated gammon I would be reluctant to suggest making it up to reheat it again. This is better to make what you want and need at the time. You could absolutely take all the bits uncooked though, if you’re wanting to take them on the go or for work, and if you’re feeling brave there are some recipes online for making one in the microwave.
If you don’t have leftover gammon, as I know it’s a bit less common, you could absolutely use almost any other leftover meat you might have. This recipe is really just me banging on about trying to promote going to the butchers and/or buying bigger pieces of meat because of it working out cheaper overall and reducing some effort. Chicken, pork or even leftover roast beef would be fantastic in a quesadilla.
