Eating And Storage Tips
I absolutely adore steak and chips but I just can’t justify the £25+ price tag for an 8oz steak in a lot of restaurants, especially when I can get four for £25 from my butchers.
Rare steak don’t bother me so I could probably eat this purely on searing and adding a minute to the pan but sometimes I also want it to be a little closer to medium rare and when I do popping it in the airfryer is a great solution.
If you have a larger airfryer this is also a great way to sear a few up and add them all to the airfryer at the same time so you can share your meal at the same time as somebody else. I find that doing more than one in a pan requires a super large pan, which often isn’t practical, or the heat reduces too much to get that lovely outside.
You can absolutely add extra seasoning to your chips, during the cooking or afterwards, and you can go for a fancier sauce for the steak itself such as a creamy mushroom sauce, blue cheese sauce or a peppercorn sauce but that involves a little more time and effort.
