Chicken And Cheese Attack A Snak

I think it’s important to stress, before we go any further, this isn’t something I would purchase all on my own but it fell into my possession through a Too Good To Go bag from the Spar and I didn’t want it to go to waste.

Whilst they aren’t great for you, or children as they are typically intended, I love a Lunchable and that sort of equivalent one. Not enough to ever go out of my way to purchase those either but certainly enough to not turn my nose up at them in a pinch.

With that in mind I thought an Attack A Snack, especially a chicken and cheese one with… tomato ketchup… wouldn’t be horrible. These have been around for an incredibly long time and we keep feeding them to children up and down the nation and given the shift towards food knowledge and what we put into young people’s bodies I figured they must be okay. Right? Righhhttt?

Wrong. It comes with four circles of chicken. And when I say chicken I mean the highly processed squashed into goop sort of chicken. It comes with one cheese string that you have to pull apart to put into your wraps. And yes two small wraps for all of that. And let us not forget the tomato ketchup sachet.

The only thing you can really taste at all is the ketchup. The chicken has no flavour and the cheese is mild and because there’s so much wrap to filling that even if they had any flavour it would get lost. If you put all the fillings into one wrap you might have something that resembles an acceptable level of filling not that it would change the taste particularly.

The wraps aren’t particularly good for you wraps either and will do nothing but fill you up on sugary carbs and with so little actual protein or nutrition from the rest of it this will really just serve as a temporary snack before getting hungry again.

These might serve as convenience for something like a child’s lunchbox but you can absolutely spend a few moments putting pre-cooked chicken or just regular chicken sandwich slices, some chunks of cheese, a little wrap and a bit of ketchup into their lunchbox or just have it on hand at home so they can still make their own but you know there’s a bit more proper nutrition in there and it will work out cheaper over the course of a week too!

We have to stop giving the next generation things like this when there are so many better alternatives or way to make it a little healthier and more nutritious with a handful of the components from scratch with minimal effort.

Let’s pretend these don’t exist and maybe one day we can forget they ever did.
