Eating And Storage tips
Cottage and Shepard’s pies are the sort of thing that you can make up and put them into the freezer to defrost and reheat at a later date. If you plan to do this with leftovers or ‘extra’ consider cooking that amount straight into the oven and freezer friendly dish so it will end up as a big mess for transferring it around.
I would usually do mine with a bit less liquid but something took over my brain whilst cooking this. I would probably also do slightly more mashed potato but as you might know from reading my mashed potato post I was trying to use up some leftovers.
A lot of people will dice carrots and put peas in as well but you can make it less traditional by popping in whatever vegetables work for you.
