Prezzo Bury St Edmunds

Wow. I had not gone to Prezzo for so long before going to the one in Bury St Edmunds in January.

Let me start by talking about this cider. I cannot remember the exact price of this but I think it was around the £5 mark which for me, given the size of the bottle, is quite pricy for a cider of this quality and strength but it worked super well with the food I selected.

For my main I went for, of course, a pizza. They do other things as well such as pasta but I am a sucker for a good pizza, or at least a pizza with different toppings to the bog standard, so I opted for one including a bucket load of cheese, prosciutto and rocket on a lovely thin crispy base.

And I can confirm that this was absolutely delicious. I don’t think they do this exact pizza now, looking at their menu, but they have some pretty similar ones and honestly I imagine they are just as delightful.

But then after that, perhaps to the detriment of my sleep, I had a caramel macchiato sundae which was lovely, creamy and smooth vanilla ice cream with some caramel sauce and a flake. Oh and a shot of espresso! I am pretty sure I did a happy wiggle.

Of course Prezzo is not the cheapest place to get pizza, heck there is a pizza by the slice potentially independent restaurant just down the road (but their hours sort of suck), but it certainly hits the spot for a delicious evening meal during a chilled date night.
