In a lifetime ago, on my old blog, I talked about Naked Noodle pots when they first landed on UK supermarket shelves and I remember seeing them when I was in the US too although the price was a hefty difference.

On coming back to the UK though I discovered they have them in sachets now; They have existed for a while but I spent a long time away from the world of food or actually paying attention to new products coming along.

You would think that the contents of these sachets are exactly the same as that in the pots just that you need to put them into your own mug or bowl to add the water. That did not seem to be the case though as this just did not pack a flavour punch like I remember this brands products doing in the past. Perhaps the quality has just decreased since I left the UK or maybe they do something different for these but it just did not quite work.

It could of course just be these particular flavour one or perhaps this one was a bit of a shambles during production that day but it just didn’t really have much of anything going on. I cannot tall you what was supposed to make it ‘Asian Style’ and it didn’t just taste of plain chicken either but just the noodles and some vague sense of some type of seasoning hiding in there.

I do have a different flavour of these sachet to try and maybe that one will be better. I hope so because I really want to have something like this where the packaging is more of a paper type than a plastic one to at least feel a tiny bit better about having a lazily produced meal.
